The editing was not the best because it seemed disjointed and the finally message was not clear. The story involved a young husband and father that was sent to Iraq. When he returned home he was no longer the same person. He was distant from his wife and children and he did not want to talk about what was bothering him. At first I thought the program was going to focus on post traumatic stress disorder, and how this disorder affects soldiers. Instead the program stressed how the wife had been reading romance novels while her husband was in Iraq and that she now had unrealistic expectations of her husband. The couple had been involved in counseling and the therapist was on the program talking about the evils of reading romance novels. I found this to be a very interesting and bizarre twist to the story.

There are many couples that have a difficult time adjusting to being separated and reunited when one of them is involved with the armed forces. The soldier is dealing with being in a dangerous and violent situation in a culture and environment that is foreign and the spouse is adjusting to less income, single parenting and worry for the loved one. I thought the news program would validate how difficult this is by profiling how this had affected this couple, but instead they went the route of talking about how romance novels can cause a person to be disillusioned in their marriage. When I started watching the program I was praising the television station for addressing the issue of what war does to families; but by then end of the programming I was vowing never to watch that show again. I cannot believe that they would put the blame of a struggling relationship onto reading romance novels; and disregard the real problem of post traumatic stress disorder.

Little House on the Prairie is beautifully illustrated and it is filled with a collection of inspiring stories about their journey as well as their destination.

This book is particularly appealing to older children because it is filled with wonderful life lessons as well as adventures. Little House on the Prairie is a fantastic teaching tool because the reader learns historical facts as he reads the text. There are also many lessons about priorities, relationships and work ethic.

Many of us are familiar with the book by Laura Ingalls Wilder through the very popular show inspired by Little House on the Prairie. In fact, many of us wound up reading the book after seeing so many great episodes featured in this well-known television series. After watching the show, we were inspired to read the book.

The characters are well written and they are well presented in the series, too. I love stories that have such a deep human element while still maintaining a sense of humor as well. The Little House on the Prairie stories will make you smile but you may have to wipe a tear here and there, too when you experience them.

Now that the program is no longer in production, I figured that Iâ€™d better invest in some products for my daughter. There are too many important lessons presented in the Little House on the Prairie series and book that I couldnâ€™t help but look for items that relate to this subject.

I bought a copy for my sister, too, who is completely in love with the characters. She even named her first daughter Laura.

I also found a collection of the Little House on the Prairie television series. Of course, I ordered the collection right away. I love that my daughter will have a chance to enjoy the story by Laura Ingalls Wilder just as I did when I was her age. This is one of the most valuable gifts Iâ€™ve ever bought for her.
